Millet Place Pontoon Dock East

This 236-home project is located on the doorstep of Pontoon Dock DLR station, near to the Thames Barrier and Thames Barrier Park. It includes a 24-hour gym, yoga studio, residents lounge, screening room, co-working spaces, private and public gardens plus beautiful waterside views.

A double-height atrium links the open ground-floor entrance to the first-floor resident amenity space. Feature rope artwork and an industrial staircase encourage residents up to the amenity space that bridges the two apartment blocks. Residents can enter a fully equipped gym and intimate yoga studio on one side of the amenity space through the co-working lounge area, or book out a cosy screening room, lounge or dining room on the other to entertain friends.

Concepts & Moods

Drawing inspiration from the past to the present state of the local area, the interior design reflects the transition from old to new, encompassing the natural agricultural history and raw materials that the area has always been known for.

The local creative atelier workshops, as well as the innovations that passed through the area for so many years are quite intriguing and inspired the design process. This has led to the inclusion of industrial elements for partitioning spaces that not only pay homage to the past, but create intimate nooks where guests can dwell. In contrast focal points are deliberately positioned to encourage interaction between residents.
