Brook Place Summerfield Street

More than just a place to hang your hat

Brook Place is 10 minutes’ walk from Sheffield City Centre with a concierge, 24-hour gym, residents lounge, games room, co-working spaces and three roof terraces with spectacular views across Sheffield.

At Brook Place, we endeavoured to keep the amenity areas personable by creating cosy nooks and flexible zones, all of which tap into the heart of the locale through the use of artwork, textures and colour.

The co-working spaces incorporate communal tables with light and loose furniture which can be moved around. When designing these spaces, we incorporated elements from our work for Sheraton where we re-designed the brand’s standard lobby area to facilitate co-working.

Alongside the co-working space, we designed separate bookable rooms with kitchenettes. In the daytime these flexible areas can be used for working or meetings, while in the evening they can be transformed into an entertaining space. Flexibility is a key feature of these rooms with modular furniture facilitating a number of uses.

In order to create a residential area with longevity for Grainger, we created intimate spaces where people want to dwell, encourage “accidental meetings” and propose a less fussy selection of ff&e.

Concept & Moods

Taking inspiration from the local environment by honing into the river, local materials, small details and natural elements in the surrounding area. We developed a design that is environmentally aware and brings the outside in, using soft and welcoming spaces to encourage natural interaction between residents.
