The landmark 164-room, art’otel London Battersea Power Station is the brand’s first hotel in the UK. It features a variety of bars, restaurants, gym and spa, an infinity pool and function rooms. A rooftop pavilion bar has panoramic views of the river Thames and the Grade II* listed Battersea Power Station.

The hotel is a key part of Phase 3 of the Battersea development, overseen by the Battersea Power Station Development Company (BPSDC) and designed by Foster + Partners and Gehry Partners.
We were appointed hotel architect from RIBA Stage 2 to completion. Our main brief was to apply our space-planning expertise to maximise the hotel’s available area. Working closely with the wider design team, we also successfully delivered two very different, yet complementary, interior design schemes.
The iconic building which art’otel Battersea Power Station is housed in has been designed to achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ status. Sustainability was a key driver in the design and delivery of the hotel scheme. Features include innovative heating solutions, efficient façade design, high-tech hotel management solutions and a green roof. The hotel rooftop is publicly accessible and features a stunning garden designed by the New York High Line team.

“art’otel Battersea Power Station is a truly special hotel which will play a vital role in the regeneration of this area of London. The project really played to our deep understanding of what makes a hotel work. We carefully planned the layout of guestrooms, F&B and other spaces to produce a workable hotel design which meets operational and guest needs.”
