Fifty One London

Situated within the Queensgate Conservation Area of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Fifty One London occupies a distinguished position opposite the Natural History Museum. The site comprises three interlinked period townhouses and a rear mews building, set within a refined heritage setting.

Studio Moren were appointed as architects for the project and also developed the interior design concept, with the interiors delivered on site by others.

The brief called for the extensive refurbishment and extension of this unlisted property, including strategic updates to the façade and a complete reconfiguration of the internal layout.

The result is a high-quality building offering premium student residential accommodation alongside generous communal spaces for study, socialising and cooking.

Outside of the academic year, Fifty One London is able to accommodate short stays, responding to seasonal demand and maximising the building’s potential.

Carefully planned internal courtyards introduce natural light and long views into the heart of the building, supported by high-quality façades, soft landscaping and commissioned artworks developed in collaboration with local student artists.

Together, these elements support wellbeing, creativity and a strong sense of belonging for all who use the space.
