Wan Sheong Gardner Yau

Wan is an architect who has worked on an extensive project range from a pub extension to a 42,000-seat stadium. Wan leads the studio, playing an important role in defining and implementing strategy, as well as overseeing operations. On the move, physically or remotely throughout much of the day, she communicates across the studio, engaging with the team.

Key projects include: Shangri-La Hotel at the Shard, London; Otkritie arena; and Dubai Creek Hotel and Residences. She is currently working on hospitality projects in the UK and internationally in the Caribbean, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Wan trained at the Bartlett School of Architecture. She was awarded the Sir Banister Fletcher Medal and was nominated for the RIBA Silver medal. She was mentored by Dexter Moren during her Parts 1 and 3.

Wan chairs Studio Moren’s inclusivity steering group, she actively promotes women in architecture and the hospitality industry.
