Waterloo Hub Hotel shortlisted for New London Awards
We are delighted to announce that the Waterloo Hub Hotel has been shortlisted for the New London Awards in the 'Retail & Hospitality' category.
Run by New London Architecture (NLA) and supported by the Mayor of London, the award recognises the best projects across different sectors in the built environment. It celebrates projects of varying scales across London that are making and will make a positive contribution to their surroundings.
Shortlisted projects include those that are both built and unbuilt, their common thread being that they have been chosen due to their sustainable, well-designed and considered approach.
Waterloo Hub was also included in NLA’s recent publications, "London Tall Buildings: Sustainable Skylines" and "Circular London: Building a renewable city".
The existing six-storey hotel will be refurbished and extended while introducing a fourteen-storey landmark tower over an existing car park to both extend the building's life and revitalise a prominent Waterloo-area intersection opposite the Imperial War Museum.
