Studio Moren's fantastic four shortlisted for Brit List Awards 

We are thrilled to announce Studio Moren's four finalists for the Brit List 2024 by Hotel Designs. The Brit List Awards campaign aims to celebrate the leading interior designers, architects, hoteliers and brands operating in Britain.

David Harte, Co-Head of Interiors - shortlisted for Interior Designer of the Year

David brings extensive experience in hospitality design, leading projects across sectors such as hotel, co-working, co-living, and brand development. As Co-Head of Interiors at Studio Moren, he manages projects from concept to completion, focusing on creating unique and sustainable spaces. David values strong client and stakeholder relationships as key to delivering outstanding design.

Since joining Studio Moren, David has worked on a range of notable projects across the UK, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. His current work includes the Marriott Autograph Collection Abastumani, a luxury hotel in Frankfurt, and two lifestyle hotels in central London.

Tom Thorogood, Co-Head of Interiors - shortlisted for Interior Designer of the Year

Tom joined Studio Moren as an Associate and quickly advanced to Co-Head of Interiors. With nearly two decades of experience, Tom has a strong background in luxury hotels, resorts, residential, and retail design. He led the renovation of the newly opened Hyde London City, which draws inspiration from the Victorian Era in a contemporary style, and is also working on a luxurious 5-star resort in Portugal and a prestigious 5-star hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon.

At Studio Moren, Tom manages all aspects of design, from initial concepts to final execution. His work reflects a blend of elegance, functionality, and sustainability, demonstrating his expertise across a diverse range of high-profile projects.

Ed Murray, Associate - shortlisted for Architect of the Year

As an Associate at Studio Moren, Ed has demonstrated exceptional skills in hospitality design. With almost 20 years of experience, he has successfully overseen transformative projects such as the Hyde London City, where he revitalised the historic 15 Old Bailey into a modern hotel while respecting its Victorian origins. His portfolio also includes the Westin London City, a five-star hotel distinguished by its innovative design solutions, and the Hilton London Bankside, celebrated for its bold spatial organisation.

At Studio Moren, Ed excels in bridging architecture and interior design, managing projects from conception through to execution. His current work includes leading the Wilde by Staycity project in Cambridge, showcasing his expertise in creating dynamic and functional spaces. Ed’s commitment to inclusivity, mentorship, and positive company culture underscores his integral role in the practice.

Allan Felicisimo, Interior Designer - shortlisted for Rising Star

With exceptional talent and notable professional development, Allan has become a key member of Studio Moren since joining. His contributions span a diverse range of projects, including 4-star lifestyle hotels, 5-star luxury resorts, and high-end student accommodation. Allan's ability to adapt and excel in a fast-paced environment is evident in his work, from initial concept development to detailed technical documentation.

Beyond his project responsibilities, Allan actively contributes to the studio by maintaining and updating the library, organising supplier visits, and leading Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions. His proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development ensures the team stays informed about industry trends. Allan’s versatility, technical expertise, and collaborative spirit make him an exemplary designer and a valued asset to the team.
